Crocheting Potholders

Crocheting simple potholders is a nice craft to do when you don't need your full concentration.

I enjoyed crocheting a few while on vacation.  To crochet the following potholders, read the instructions below.

A potholder should measure about 6 to 8 inches.

about 50 grams of yarn
Crochet needle size

Chain 30 stitches.
At the beginning of each row, chain one stitch as a turning stitch.
Continue single crocheting each row until the potholder is a square.
With another color, chain 10 stitches in one corner and slip stitch into same hole to create a hanger.
Continue single crocheting around the entire potholder.
Crochet three single crochets in each corner of the potholder to create a nice edge.
Now sew in all of the yarn ends and you've completed your pot holder!
